Information for Parents & Players

The fall soccer season begins in September with the spring season beginning in March. The season consists of 10 games played on Saturdays and some weeknights.
A third party administrator schedules all games (7U-18U) for the Best Southwest League and the Arlington Outside Playing League. We have no control over the dates or times of the schedules or when they are released.
3U thru 6U games are scheduled by Waxahachie Soccer Association.
Your coach will receive their team assignments at the coaches meeting, you will hear from them after that date. Please see our calendar for dates.
Under 3 - Under 6 coed $85 (uniform included)
Under 7 - Under 10 boys and girls $80
Under 11 - Under 14 boys and girls $85
Under 15 - Under 18 boys and girls $95
The City of Waxahachie mandates that we add an $8 per player field usage fee to all registrations
(this fee is already added into the above registration fees).
Family Discount - $5 off for more than one family member registration
Late registration (if space is available) - add $10.00
3U-6U ONLY: registration fee includes a uniform and season award.
8U fee includes season award.
Additional uniform costs will be the responsibility of the parents for age groups 8U thru 16U.
For age groups 10U - 16U awards are given through Best Southwest for divisional placing 1st - 3rd.
Each team's coach will decided the time, date and location of all practices. Area practice fields are available on a first come, first served basis. Please share with other teams. Please use appropriate space for your age group and number of attendees. Each player MUST wear shin guards during all practices and games, this is a requirement of our insurance company and is for the safety of the player. Player's need to bring a ball and water to each practice.
WSA will coordinate 3U - 6U uniform ordering and the cost is included with registration. All teams in 7U and older are responsible for ordering their uniforms, your coach will coordinate this while keeping in mind that some families may have difficulty paying for expensive uniforms (most packages average between $25-$40 for jersey, shorts and socks). Also remember that shin guards ARE REQUIRED for all practices and games; cleats are optional, but MUST NOT have the toe cleat as on baseball cleats.
Waxahachie Soccer Association provides the opportunity for kids to play soccer, but volunteer coaches are needed to organize these activities. WSA and North Texas Soccer offer coaching clinics for each age group to help you teach the game to the kids. If you are interested please click on the new coach registration link. After you register you will receive an email from GotSoccer with information. You will need to log into your coaches profile and complete the background check. No experience necessary.
Players must be three (3) years old on or before August 1st in order to play soccer in the Fall or January 1st to play soccer in the Spring. WSA is required to keep a copy of each players state certified birth certificate (not hospital) or other government issued documentation showing birth date for a player to be added to a team. If the player was born in Texas a copy can be requested from the county courthouse. If the player was born outside of Texas a copy can be requested from Vitalchek. ALL players of ALL ages must upload a copy of their birth certificate and a headshot picture of themself BEFORE TEAMFORMATION in order to be added to a team. Once you have completed registration, you will receive an email with instructions on how to do this.
Refunds for any age will not be given until the Refund Request Form has been submitted.
Refunds may be requested prior to Team Formation and are subject to a $25 administrative fee. There will be no refunds after Team Formation. Late fees are not refundable. Any discount given (such as returning coach or sibling) may be revoked and subject to repayment upon the request of a refund.
Acts of God will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine if a refund or credit may be given.
All discounts (such as returning coach or sibling) must be requested prior to the first games of the season. Any discount requests after the first games of the season will not be honored. Discounts will not be given until the Discount Request Form has been submitted (except for sibling discount which can be requested at the time of registration if registering siblings).
RETURNED CHECK POLICY
All checks returned to WSA as uncollected will be charged an additional $10 per check. Subsequent payments must be made with credit card or money order. Players will not be placed on a team until settled.
A release form is required for all players that want to play on a team with WSA and have played with another association. Please visit NTSSA Soccer for a release/transfer form.
Players will not be registered until payment and all documentation is received.
If you are a returning player wanting to return to your team, be sure to register on time. Registration options are listed below:
Online: Click on the "Player Registration" link at the bottom of this page to go to the online registration site. When your registration is complete you will have the option to have the receipt e-mailed to you, and you will also receive a message to upload a copy of the player's birth certificate and a headshot to WSA.
To register online, you will be required to pay with a VISA or Mastercard through their 128-bit encrypted service or you can choose to mail in a check.
By Mail: Registration will be accepted by mail until FRIDAY JULY 31 for fall and FRIDAY JANUARY 31st for spring - this is the date that we must RECEIVE your form, please plan accordingly. Payment must be included and a copy of their birth certificate and a headshot must be emailed. Please do not mail cash - credit cards not accepted via mail.

Parents may request their child to play with a sibling. Parents may also request their child to play up one age level. Players may not play up more than one age level. Example: a 7U player may play up into 8U, but not into 9U. A 8U player may play up into 9U if an age pure division can be made, but if 9U is combined with 10U, the player cannot play up. Players cannot play down an age group unless they have a documented mental or physical disability and have received approval from NTSSA.
In order to be compliant with recruiting rules and policies, we will not accept requests for teams or coaches.
If you do not make the request at the time of registration, we will be unable to accommodate.
TEAM FORMATION PROCEDURE
Team Formation is based on age. We will take requests for players to play with a friend/sibling and carpooling considerations, but cannot guarantee those requests will be granted. Placement is based on availability.
All NEW players are placed in an unassigned/draft player pool for team placement. Players who did not play with WSA the season prior, are considered 'new' players for team formation purposes.
RETURNING PLAYERS-have first priority to return to the team they played on the previous season. A returning player that wishes to be placed on a new team must request this at registration.
RESPECT THE REFEREES
Many of them are young children and our local youth; please treat them as you would want others to treat your children. The adult referees are there for your player as well. Do not expect to have a perfect game called. Do not approach them on the field for any clarification of any rules. If you have a concern/ issue that needs to be addressed, please email the Referee Assignor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please respect and support our referees. Without them, soccer games cannot be played.
WSA WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY BAD BEHAVIOR TOWARD OUR REFEREES, LEAGUE OFFICIALS, COACHES OR PLAYERS.
ALL REPORTS OF ABUSE CAN RESULT IN SUSPENSION.
WSA will schedule a photographer to take team and individual pictures for one day during the season. Please check our calendar for dates. You/your team may choose your own photographer if you wish.
GAME DAY INFORMATION
All parents/guardians are required to sign the Parent Code of Conduct form before the beginning of each season, your coach should provide this for you to sign.
Field locations and layouts will be posted on our website prior to the start of each season. Please check this prior to your game. Your tardiness/ absence could cause your team to forfeit.
AT NO TIME will spectators be allowed to be behind the goal lines of any on-going game.
Spectators should remain on their appropriate sideline for the duration of each game and are only permitted onto the field at the referee's discretion. If you are listed as the "Home" team, you will be required to wear alternate jerseys/pinnies if there is a color conflict; if your team is unable to provide this they will forfeit. Each team has the responsibility for keeping trash picked up on their sideline.
PLEASE RESPECT THE REFEREES! If a match is abandoned by a referee because of a problem with a coach/spectator/player, the match will be counted as a forfeit for that team and a win for the opposing team no matter when the game was abandoned or what the score of the match was at the time.
