BECOME A COACH

Interested in becoming a coach? Great! All of the coaches and board members here at WSA are volunteers. Without amazing people like you, this association couldn't exist - so thank you for volunteering your time so that these kids get to play!

There are a few steps to follow in becoming a coach for the first time, if you have coached with us before and are needing to sign-up back up for this season, please see below.

FIRST TIME COACHES WITH WSA

  1. Register as a coach with WSA by following this link: REGISTER AS A COACH - be sure to keep your username and password in a safe spot, you will need to have it for future steps and for future seasons.

  2. Once you have completed your registration, visit GotSoccer (click on the logo in the top right corner of our website) and login as an Individual Coach. It is important that you login to the correct portal each time you access GotSoccer. Later in the season you will also receive a login for your team and many people confuse these two logins.

  3. Select 'Background Checks' from the top menu bar and then you will 'Submit A New Report'. These background checks must be resubmitted each Fall season.

  4. Select 'My Profile' from the top menu bar. You will need to ensure that this information is all accurate and upload a picture of yourself to use on your ID card. This picture must be similar to a driver's license and ONLY BE OF YOUR FACE.

  5. Select 'Home' from the top menu bar. Here you will find two required online courses that you must complete. The first is the SafeSport Certification. Select 'Learning Center Courses' and then select 'Access SafeSport'. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete this required course. Be sure to use the exact same name and email address to sign-up for SafeSport as you used to create your coach profile in GotSoccer. This course takes about 2 hours to complete and you can stop anytime you need and then pick back up when you return. Once completed, be sure to download your completion certificate and email it to us: admin@waxahachiesoccer.org.

  6. Select 'Home' from the top menu bar. Here you will find two required online courses that you must complete. The second is the CDC Heads Up Course. Select 'Learning Center Courses' and then select 'Access CDC Course'. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete this required course. Be sure to use the exact same name and email address to sign-up for CDC Heads Up as you used to create your coach profile in GotSoccer. This course takes about 30 minutes to complete - you cannot stop this course once started or you will have to start over when you log back inOnce completed, be sure to download your completion certificate and email it to us: admin@waxahachiesoccer.org.

That's it! You are now all set up to be a coach with WSA.
